Our core services
College List & Fit Strategy
Research-driven list building balanced across reach, match, and likely schools — weighing academics, campus culture, career outcomes, and true affordability. Includes a written list rationale so the whole family understands the "why" behind every school.
Application & Essay Coaching
Session-by-session coaching through the Common App, supplemental essays, activity lists, and interviews. Brainstorming, structured drafting, and honest feedback — the student's authentic voice, sharpened, never ghost-written.
Scholarship & Financial Aid Planning
FAFSA and CSS Profile walkthroughs, merit aid strategy baked into the college list, scholarship search planning, and side-by-side award letter comparison so you can see the true four-year cost of each option before decision day.
Career Pathways
Exploring careers that fit your student's strengths and interests, then mapping each path year by year: majors and programs, internships and experiences, required exams and licenses, and alternatives like apprenticeships and two-year routes — so every college on the list serves a direction.
One entry session. Three programs. Two ways to work with us.
Pick the year you start and how involved you want to be. Full Service: we work directly with your student and keep you informed. Guided: we coach you, the parents, with a clear map and feedback — your family drives.
Every program runs through senior year. The entry year sets how early we start — and how much runway your student gets. Junior Journey and Early Start carry your family all the way through 12th-grade applications (Early Start through the final college decision).

For parents who want to hand it off. We work directly with your student, week by week, and drive the process to submission. You get a short briefing each month — informed without hovering.
- Weeks 1–2: two sessions — intake, profile assessment, college list locked with at least one affordable yes
- September–October: weekly student sessions (8) — main essay drafted and finished, activities list built, applications assembled
- November: weekly sessions (4) through EA/ED submission

Outcome: Every application on the list finished and submitted on time, essays done to the student's best standard, aid forms filed — with parents briefed monthly, not burdened weekly.

Junior Journey — starting winter/spring of 11th grade
Winter of 11th → 12th-grade submissions (11 months) The classic full cycle: engagement runs from January of junior year through senior-year submissions. Essays get a whole summer instead of a panicked October.
We work directly with your student across the full arc. Quarterly parent briefings in spring, monthly in fall.
- Junior winter/spring (Jan–May): six sessions — academic plan check, testing strategy and calendar, activities positioning, major and career exploration grounded in real outcome data, college list v1 with cost reality
- Summer (Jun–Aug): six-session essay sprint — main essay finished by Labor Day, supplement plan mapped
- Senior fall (Sep–Nov): weekly sessions (8) — supplements, applications, EA/ED submission
- Wrap (Dec–Jan): two sessions — Regular Decision completion and full pre-submission review
- Throughout: written feedback on all essays and email support
22 sessions total (6 junior spring + 6 summer + 8 senior fall + 2 wrap) — about $177 per session.
Outcome: Testing decided and completed on schedule, the main essay finished before senior year begins, and applications submitted early where it helps — a senior fall without panic.
Same arc, family-driven. Each session ends with a written to-do map — who does what before we meet again.
- Testing and college-list strategy
- Two feedback rounds per essay (main + up to four supplements)
- Deadline-tracking system for your family
- FAFSA guidance
11 sessions total (monthly through spring and summer (7) + biweekly in senior fall (4)) — about $177 per session.

Early Start — beginning sophomore year
Spring of 10th → final decision in 12th (2½ years) The multi-year program: sophomore spring through decision day. Early entry is where guidance has the most leverage — course choices, activities, and testing timelines are still open, and nothing gets decided in a panic.
Everything in Junior Journey, plus the planning years. We work with your student from course selection to committing to a college, with parent briefings every term.
- Sophomore spring: three sessions — four-year academic plan built (rigor matched to targets, prerequisites for likely majors), activity strategy, summer plan
- Junior year: eight sessions — quarterly strategy, testing plan and prep calendar, list building with cost data, campus-visit planning; academic plan re-reviewed at course selection
- Junior summer: six-session essay sprint
- Senior fall: weekly sessions (8) through submissions
- Decision season (Mar–May): three sessions — award-letter comparison line by line, final decision support
28 sessions total (3 sophomore spring + 8 junior year + 6 junior summer + 8 senior fall + 3 decision season) — about $175 per session.
Outcome: A four-year academic plan built and kept current, testing and essays done without a crunch, applications submitted on time, and a final college chosen with award letters compared dollar for dollar.
The same multi-year map, family-driven. Checkpointed quarterly so nothing drifts.

Straight answers
Do you guarantee admission?
No — and you should walk away from anyone who does. Admissions decisions belong to colleges alone. What we guarantee is a smarter strategy, stronger applications in the student's own voice, and no avoidable mistakes.
When should we start?
The sweet spot is sophomore spring or junior winter — early enough to shape courses and activities, with plenty of runway for essays. Seniors can still start in September with Senior Launch — and for families mid-season who just need a clear plan, that's what the Roadmap Session is for.
Do you write essays?
Never. We coach: brainstorming, structure, drafts, and honest feedback. The writing is the student's — which is what colleges expect and what integrity requires.
Are sessions remote or in person?
Sessions are held over video so they fit your student's schedule — including evenings after practice. Local families meet in person at kickoff, and at the final decision for multi-year programs. Parents are always welcome to join.
Not sure which package fits?
That's exactly what the free consultation is for. Thirty minutes, no pressure — just an honest read on where your student stands.
